Our family loves Halloween and I think it’s one of the highlights of the year for many families. We love all the family fun and whether it’s trick or treating, pumpkin decorating or a Halloween treasure hunt for the kids, we just can’t get enough!

Delicious homemade treats and candy are all part of Halloween. It’s fun to serve themed food whether it’s just for the family or for friends and neighbors as well. At your next Halloween party, add these fun Halloween dirt cups to a dessert table.

The alternating orange and chocolate pudding layers with oreo cookie crumbs and brownies is very effective. It’s a great idea to use clear glasses or clear plastic cups so that the layers can be seen to their full effect.

What is dirt pudding made of?

Although it sounds gross, dirt puddings are very yummy and so much fun to make. The dirt layer is made from crushed Oreo biscuits and then this is layered with a shop-bought or homemade pudding. In my recipe, the vanilla pudding is colored to give it an orange hue to match the Halloween theme.

How long will dirt pudding dessert cups last in the fridge?

Up to 2 days but I recommend adding the decorations just before you serve this tasty dessert.

What else can I use to decorate the Halloween dirt pudding recipe?

You could use other things such as tombstone cookies, gummy candies, milk chocolate chips, cool whip, whipped heavy cream, edible googly eyes or any other edible Halloween or Fall decorations on top of the pudding.

Why this is the easiest dirt dessert recipe?

Simple ingredients are combined to give you fantastic looking desserts in next to no time. This recipe is designed for kids to make on their own or with a little help in the kitchen.

There’s no cooking or baking so no heat is required. No sharp knives are needed. You don’t need any special equipment. It’s the easiest way for kids to make a stunning looking dessert for their friends and family this Halloween. You could even get the kids to each make their own if you were hosting a Halloween themed sleepover or birthday party.
