What could be nicer at Christmas time than a home made gift? It keeps the cost of gifting down and grandparents, aunts and uncles will love the thought and effort that has gone into their gift. But Christmas is a busy time so you need a no fail fudge recipe for a sweet treat. I’ve got your back!

This is one of the best no fail fudge recipes that I know because it is so quick and easy to make. Your kids won’t need a lot of help so they can have the satisfaction that they made the fudge on their own. It will help to build their confidence in the kitchen.
This easy fudge recipe is so simple that the results are guaranteed. You don’t need a candy thermometer. You don’t need to spend ages stirring the mixture with a wooden spoon waiting for it to get to a soft ball stage. NO brushing down sugar crystals from the side of the pan. This is one of the first recipes you can help your kids to make because candy making doesn’t get any easier than this.
You simply mix and melt the 3 ingredients to make a creamy fudge that will quickly become one of your family favorites.
What’s more, you probably already have the ingredients in your store cupboard for this simple fudge recipe.
How to make the perfect No Fail fudge Recipe every single time:
For best results, do not use the fat free condensed milk as this will not give a good flavor to the candy mixture. Neither should you use evaporated milk. It has to be sweetened condensed milk – proper job!

Other homemade fudge recipe flavors:
You could make a second batch of fudge with different flavors. Options include
- Adding a teaspoon of salt to the fudge when you melt the ingredients to make salted fudge.
- Sprinkling the fudge with crushed candy canes instead of Christmas sprinkles for a chocolate peppermint flavor.
- Rippling some peanut butter through the fudge mixture as you put it into the pan.
- Add some chopped nuts to the melted mixture and stir through.
- Change up the sprinkles for other holidays including Halloween and Valentine’s Day.
No Fail Chocolate Fudge Recipe
Prep Time: 10 min
Chill Time: 4 hours
Makes: 16 servings

Ingredients:
2 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 oz.) can of sweetened condensed milk (NOT fat free)
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
Christmas sprinkles for topping

- Line an 8×8 square pan with parchment paper, set aside.
- To a double boiler (or set up a double boiler with simmering water in a pot, over a medium-low heat, with a heat safe glass bowl, like pyrex, on top), add chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk

- Heat until melted.

- As the mixture starts to melt, stir in vanilla.

- This mixture will go from melting to starting to solidify pretty quickly, so once the chocolate chips are mostly melted, immediately pour the mixture into your prepared 8×8 pan.

- Smooth out the mixture to the edges of the pan, then sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles.
- Cover the fudge with foil or plastic wrap and move to the refrigerator to set.

- Allow the fudge to chill for about 4 hours, then cut into small 1-inch squares.
How long can I store the fudge?
Store the chocolate fudge in an airtight container. It will stay fresh for up to 2 weeks if it lasts that long!
You can also freeze fudge for up to 3 months.
How do you package fudge to keep it fresh?
First you need to wrap the fudge because if it is exposed to air for too long, it will dry out and crumble. Wrap the fudge in wax paper, plastic film or aluminum foil. You can also store in an air-tight container.
If you are mailing the fudge, don’t worry about it melting during shipping. However, I would let your lucky friend know that a gift is on the way so that they don’t leave the fudge languishing in the porch.
How do you make the fudge look pretty for a gift?

- Small squares of dark fudge look great in cellophane bags with a pretty ribbon and tag
- You can use a small glass jar and place a piece of cloth over the lid with a rubber band and ribbon to hold it in place.
- You could make your own boxes using origami and some thick paper.
- Paper cones look attractive and to keep the fudge in place, I would also wrap the cones in cellophane.
- If you are gifting a tray of fudge, firstly, use a small aluminum tray for your no fail fudge recipe. When it is set, dust it with cocoa powder then dress it up with a doily and festive ribbon as you can see in option 5 here.
- Instead of cutting into squares, you could use small cookie cutters to shape the fudge.
- You might like to add an ingredient list in case your recipient has any allergies.
