I have a fantastic candy corn rice krispie treats recipe that kids can easily make at home with a little help.

candy corn rice krispie treats

Most kids love the Halloween season and want to take part in the traditions that take place at this time of year.

Making Halloween inspired delicious treat is a great way to get kids involved especially if you are looking for something to do on a rainy day. I’m always on the lookout for easy recipes that beginner cooks can use with great results and these candy corn rice krispie treats are one of the easiest things for kids to make. Making bake treats that kids can share with the whole family is a great way to give them confidence and make them proud of what they can achieve.

These cereal treats are made to look like the candy corn that we associate with Halloween. The white layer is made by coating the krispy treats in white chocolate. The orange layer is made by adding some food coloring to the rice krispies themselves. The only difference is that I have changed the yellow layer to brown with the addition of dark chocolate to the tasty treats. Most people love chocolate so I feel this is a good swap!

These look fantastic as well as tasting A-MAH-ZING so they are perfect for Halloween parties. A fun way to display them would be on a platter along with regular candy corn. You can also gift these candy corn krispie treats if you are taking part in ‘You’ve been Boo’ed’ with the neighbors.

If you’d like some help setting up a Halloween dessert table then I found this great blog post here.
